Palo Verde is one of Guanacaste's lesser known parks, but by no means less beautiful. It is a haven for many species of birds, and a great spot to see crocodiles in their natural habitat.
You don't need to be an accomplished athlete to go on a canopy tour. Elderly people in good health are encouraged to attend.
Horseback riding tours are a fun way to experience the countryside.
The jabiru is an endangered species of stork which survives in Palo Verde, Guanacaste, and Cano Negro, Alajuela.
